I have never seen or touched a bumper prior to this so I never had a reference.I expected a really bland looking cushion, but it really is a nice neutral shade of... off white.I didnt know how nice this was until i went to sears and looked at the bumper they had in stock there.The print on it was fancy and I can imagine some people loving it, but I felt it and it felt cheap and artificial, AND it was twice the price.I love the how soft and natural this feels.My son could probably care less but I know how much better this is for him not having to breath in all those unnatural chemicals every night.I am so glad I found this bumper.Such a great deal for such a healthier alternative.Click Here to see more reviews about: American Baby Company Organic Crib Bumper - Natural
