Review of Tiny Love Tiny Smarts - Baby Butterfly

My daughter likes this product. It's very cute and we could attach it to the Tiny Love play matt. The only issue is that I wish it were packaged better. There was no protective casing of the toy so it came dirty and stained. Since my dauighter puts everything in her mouth, we had to clean it carefully. If it weren't for the hassle, I would have exchanged it for a cleaner one.

Review of Angel Line Glider Rocker

I gave two stars because this is a very good item to have just for it's purpose - nursing a baby.The category is called "nursery rocking chair."But the price tag, one penny less than ten thousand dollars, is far too much.

You can get a much better one for $700, give or take $100; and you can get one that is just as good as the one that is the subject of this review for $160 or so, give or take $25.

The good ones that cost $700, give or take $100, will weigh more than 50 pounds for sure (this one weighs 36 pounds); they'll be ergonomic with:
lumbar support, waterfall edge seating, better shaped Ottoman, better shaped arms and other features including some that are adjustable.

And for about $700 you can also select your type of wood finish and also your fabric color.Further, the amount of hardwood in the construction will be greater, resulting in more weight.

For these reasons I cannot recommend this nursery rocking chair.However, a quality nursery rocking chair is really ideal because it rocks and Mom can put her feet up.And even if you don't get an expensive one because maybe you won't keep it longer than a year, you can get one as good as the one that is the subject of this review for around $160 give or take $25.

This may be the best bag I've ever owned.I recently traveled by plane and found it was large enough to accommodate my 13" laptop, seven extra diapers + wipes (never know how long you're going to be stuck in the airport), two books (one for me, one for my husband), and various other items, all without making the bag bulky (though yes, it was heavy, as you can imagine).Yet, the bag is somehow compact enough that I can use it around town *without* all of those items, and it doesn't look like I'm carrying a giant empty bag around.Should your child decide he wants *you* to hold his beloved stuffed sheep, it'll fit easily inside.For any moms and dads out there returning to school, you can fit a textbook (two if they're slim), notebooks, folders, etc. inside and not worry that it looks like you're using a diaper bag.(FYI, when my laptop is inside, I find my bulky textbook too big to also fit, so I just carry it.)

Perhaps my favorite feature are the two front pockets, miraculously large enough to easily slip a sippy cup in and out of (but, when empty, look just as they do in the picture), thus keeping it upright and spill-free.I also love the two zippered pockets at the top of the bag (I keep my wallet in one of them).I don't use my stroller much anymore (my son is 2 1/2), but I do use the stroller clips on the cart handle at the grocery store.I *love* not having to carry my bag around and having easy access to sippy cups, snacks, etc. that my son may want.

I have tried different brands of disposable sippy cups and these are the best of them all. Although they are disposable, we use them until we lose them or they break, and they don't break very easily. The lids fit without falling off and they don't leak much. I've had these cups fall off the table without a drop spilled. They are superior than some reusable sippy cups; and they don't have valves, which get lost and are often hard to clean. To wash, just throw them in the dishwasher.

We've had these cups for years. Even now, since the kids have outgrown the cups, we still use them without the lids. Occasionally, a guest will need a sippy cup and we have one ready to go. They still work!

Review of Zanzibar - Basket Liner

The dimensions for these basket liners are 11" x 17" x 7" and the decoration is across the 'short' end or what would be the 'width' of your basket. The decoration is a small version of the turtle, elephant, and monkey from the Zanzibar theme and is embroidered, not printed, onto the fabric just like the rest of the line. Because the ties you use to secure the edge of the liner around the basket are drawstrings I was able to use the liners in smaller baskets with just a little folding and gathering. The corner ties are only located on the front (short end/width) of the liners. The fabric part that goes inside the basket is quilted and is 65% polyester 35% cotton. It is the brown and cream check print just like the Zanzibar sheet set. The liners are machine washable. Apparently they will fit the "Kids Line" brand wicker baskets which come in white or pecan - sold separately in sets of three. I didn't buy these because I've heard from several mothers that they have sharp edges and will scratch anything they come in contact with -- your furniture or even your baby! Each liner package will only contain one basket liner. They are cute and compliment the rest of the Zanzibar line well.

These gates are amazing. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I don't have children, but I have an extremely rambunctious puppy who at only 13 pounds was able to jump/climb your standard child gate. They are extremely easy to assemble and install. My walls are cheap and uneven, but the tension on the gates firmly holds them in place. I leave them up all the time because they work so well, make my life easier, and are aesthetically pleasing. At first I was apprehensive about paying $100+ for baby gates when you can buy the standard ones at walmart for $25-$30, but I swear to you they are one of the best purchases I have ever made. Review of Groovy Pink - Sleep Cozy Groovy Pink Large Dot (Medium)

I have these in small, medium and large and have used them with two children. They are wonderful. Thick and cozy, they solve the blanket issue for little ones. I love that they unzip from the top or bottom and have an open bottom because it makes it so much easier to change a diaper in the middle of the night. Halo's sleep sack is nice (I have one of those as well), but it's flimsy compared to the quality of these and it only has one zipper and you have to take your child's feet out to diaper. I cannot say enough about how wonderful I have found these to be. The only thing is that I wish they came in extra large. I've had to get a Halo in extra large after my child could no longer fit into the Babylicious large.

Review of Barlow bear

Barlow Bear is a large, handsome, huggable bear with an appealing face. His fur is mottled and slightly uneven, which gives him an antique look. The fur is not as evenly colored as it appears in the photo. It has darker and lighter patches.

Barlow is stuffed with polyester, so he feels a bit light for his size. The manufacturers have put weights in his bottom and his feet to compensate for this. I noticed that the seams are a little bit wrinkly, too. This is only noticeable if you run your hand along the seams. Barlow is made in China, so perhaps the manufacturing process was not as careful as it should have been. Overall, I'd say this is a very nice bear for the money.

My husband and I put this bag on our registry on a whim figuring nobody in their right mind would pay $80 for a diaper bag.We were thrilled when we received it at our shower.Our baby was born in mid December and we loved this bag.It went everywhere with us.It holds a dozen neborn diapers in the inside pockets, bottles, formula containers, toys, clothes and even a snall blanket depending on what else you've packed.the easy access wipes are great and I love that the changing pad stores in the back zipper pocket rather than taking up space in the main compartment.

The diappointing part was that it didn't hold up.The bag itself has held up pretty well even when filled to capacity (and then some).The strap however, has not.The webbing used to make the tabs that hold the rings where the shoulder strap hooks on (attaches) to the bag itself is poor quality and began to unravel and fray by late August.It was very frustrating.The only reason we had even considered this bag was that it was big and sturdy and would last at least a couple years.Instead, I had to purchase a new (inexpensive) bag from a local store in about eight months.

Assuming that we just got one of a bad lot and the rest are fine, I would highly recommend the bag.If, on the other hand, this poor quality webbing is the norm, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Review of Mariposa - Full Quilt and 2 Shams

I shopped and shopped for the perfect bedding set for my daughter's room.I settled on this because of the variety of colors and it's cute.She loves the set and it looks very nice next to her off-white furniture.We also got the matching bedskirt and drapes/valances.I was surprised by two things upon arrival.One (good) that there is quite a bit of various fabric texture.The other (not good) is the colors in the picture don't quite match that of the real thing.The yellow is actually gold.I went ahead and kept it though because it still looked nice all put together.In addition, it's hard to tell from the picture but the trim and some flowers and butterflies you see are fuscia instead of red.

Review of Halo Fleece Sleepsack- Cream

This product should be recalled - I filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency. It's sold based on the premise of reducing SIDS by using it as a blanket.

My husband and I were horrified to check on our child in the middle of the night (our movement sensor alarm went off because he had stopped breathing!!) to see all this material bunched up tightly around his throat and face!!! I was angry, and felt guilty for trusting the claims of this product. (I've now seen several reviewers say the same thing about other colors/sizes of this same product).

I loved the idea of this combo sleepsack/swaddle and we had been using SwaddleMe wraps with no problem (except that our baby would sometimes breakout of them).

I put our child in the sleepsack/swaddle a second time so I could watch (supervised) how the material ended up bunched up around his face.The swaddle part velcroes tightly to the back of the sleepsack.Then, you wrap the arms around the baby and velcro the arms to each other.

Even with a tight swaddle, and with the swaddle arms velcroed as low as they will go on the back of the sleepsack... if the child bends their legs up at all, their fingers can start to feel the bottom of the swaddle arms. Then, the baby can work their fingers and arms out from the bottom of the swaddle arms. The result is that the swaddle part bunches up around their neck and face extremely tightly, because it is still secured tightly to the back of the sleepsack with a large chunk of velcro and a tab at the back of the sleepsack.

There is nothing to keep the front of the swaddle arms attached securely and safely down on the front of the sleepsack.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
HALO: should recall the current sleepsack/swaddlers and add velcro and/or snaps and tabs on the front of the swaddle arms to attach it to the sleepsack to keep it in place.

PARENTS should use the "Swaddle Me" blankets instead for a safer swaddle option. There is less material, and the baby's legs pull down on the swaddle, so it keeps any loose material away from baby's face if the baby manages to break out. I thought it would be a bit larger. It's rather tiny and doesn't hold much. It hold exactly 10 diapers and just barely. Would had been much better had it been made to store the diapers upwards cuz I can fit just over a dozen that way, but the handle does not go high enough to carry it w/ the diapers that way. There's also no room to store a normal sized package of wipes!! Hello?! Diapers are just as important as wipes! I cannot store my package of wipes and all that would really fit in any of these holders is a travel pack. I am not about to start buying travel packs in addition to what I already buy. I never need ointments and such so I am really thinking of sending this back. Nowhere near as useful and unique as I thought it would be. The more I think about it the more disappointed I am actually.

I think it's worth the purchase.Target had these for much more money.So far, it's stayed on and where it is attached is made out of cement.I didn't have to use extra adhesive and my son already pulled one piece off, it went back on and stayed there (2 months now).When you cut them to size, I suggest scissors.The directions say use a serated knife but it just made a mess.Good luck.

I really like this product.It is nice leather and a good value for the leather.The only complaint is that it would have been nice to have just a little extra room for cable, etc.My computer fits great and it is nice that it is in a sleeve of it's own.I can also fit in a couple of magazines and files, but then there is not much room for power supplies, etc.I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn't need to have to carry too many documents or extra supplies.

Review of Black Large Square Quilt Backpack Diaper Bag

I have used this diaper backpack for 2 years and have really enjoyed it.
PROS:
-Stylish! I got tons of compliments on this bag and 2 of my friends ended up getting it.
-Handy pockets, but not so many that it clutters the bag
-Able to throw the whole bag in the washing machine and let it air dry when I needed to clean it.
CONS:
-The straps are made of this slipperly nylon that prevents you from haveing any control over the length of the straps.You can technically adjust them, but they just end up slipping to full length. This is an unfortunate downside to an otherwise ideal bag. (Perhaps they have fixed this in newer models?? I'd check before buying.)
-Would be nice if it were just a little bigger
-After 2 years, the zippers still worked, but the pulls have come off. I am not that bothered by this since I have been very hard on this bag!

Perfect for shading my little lady at the pool when the stroller is stationary. Came in handy to cover me once when it rained, that plus the baby rain cover kept us both dry. Difficult to use while strollering - blocks my vision.If you thought you got noticed without the parasol, you will really get stares when it is added.Only attaches on one side and when you try to shade the baby from the other side you have to make sure you don't hit baby in the head with the metal stem.It mostly shades the feet that are left out by the overhead canopy.Sometimes my daughter reaches up and plays with the handle.When the parasol is removed, the holder for it looks like a microphone - everyone has fun speaking in to it - "order of fries, double size it".The holder is useful for attaching toys via rings to dangle within baby's reach.When we are strollering on a sunny day I prefer to use the sasha sun, wind, insect cover - baby is fully protected from all angles.Just not sure if the sasha cover will fit as the baby grows - longer legs, means adjusting the foot rest to be longer and the covers (rain, sasha sun, mosquito net - may no longer fit.
