I bought this for my daughter to use in the bathroom, either to reach the potty or the sink. It's wide and very sturdy, prett easy to assemble. However, after about 2 months the hinge that keeps the lid on the storage compartment from snapping shut, stripped out and can not be repaired. To me this is pretty trival, and we don't really store things in this. My daughter mostly uses it to hide her teddy bear while she is going to the bathroom. The other thing to be careful for is to make sure you child is being watched or has "grippy" socks on. The last step can be slippery if plain socks are on. My daughter slipped maybe 2 times, but every time I was the there to catch her. All in all, I would recommend this product as using purely as a step stool.
