Review of Leap Froggie - Hamper

I have had this hamper for a little over two years now, and LOVED it up until I decided to wash it.The hamper itself is really cute, nice fabric, etc.The removable mesh bag inside was invaluable for hauling my son's laundry down the stairs to the washing machine.And did I mention it's CUTE?

Unfortunately, the tag inside says it's washable ("machine wash cold, tumble dry low"), so when I started to notice a buildup of dust inside after two years of use, I followed those instructions.When I removed it from the dryer it had shrunk so much that it no longer fits on the frame and is now unusable.I just wrote to the manufacturer to complain; we'll see if they will do anything to make it right.

That said, as long as you don't wash this hamper, it's great.You might try handwashing, or at least not putting it in the dryer, if you need to clean it but don't want to stop using it completely.

I was given these wall hangings as a present.I love them and they make the room look great.We also were presented with the problem of how to hang them.There is what seems to be a dowel pocket in the back, but that seemed too complicated to deal with.Therefore, my husband and I attached a safty pin to the back of each square in the center at the top.My husband then used a finish nail in the wall, and used the safty pin to hang over the nail.The pin is low enough so you do not see it or the nail the square is hanging on. It was easy to do, and the wall hangings look great!I thought there would be a problem with getting them to be straight, but they are light enough to manipulate and stay where they are placed. I hope this helps others with this problem.I still wonder though, why on earth the company didn't foresee this problem in the first place?

Since great grandson Devon has outgrown his "baby" bed and delights in being a "big boy," my son (his great uncle) decided to buy him a more appropriate toddler bed.

Devon is too young to have chosen a favorite sport--or anything that would make a theme easy--so Bob asked my advice on the bedding. Bob and I were both going out of town (various destinations) for the weekend and had no time to shop, so we surfed Amazon and selected Olive Kids Wild Animals Toddler Sheetset. We knew he'd like these sheets because he likes animals, dancing, giggling and reaching out to them when he sees them on TV. What kid doesn't like animals? Right?

We also like these sheets because the colors are appropriate for our "big boy" and the ultra-soft cotton/poly blend is soft and smooth on his still-sensitive skin.

It seems odd to see Devon in a "big-boy" bed, but no doubt it makes him feel happy to no longer be "cooped up behind bars." Now he can get in and out on his own, and, hopefully, he's old enough not to overdo it. I just hope Mommy can keep up with him, but if not, there's always the play-pen. (lol)

I never write product reviews online, but I want all pregnant women considering this product to just bite the bullet and buy it.I was very apprehensive about such a weird looking pillow creature sharing our bed, but I shouldn't have been - it's great.There are several choices to make regarding filler and size once you've honed in on this particular pillow.I bought the expensive goose down full length pillow, and I'm glad I did.I know it's expensive, but my sleep is too important to skimp on.I was worried that the down pillow might be too soft, as many down pillows are quite flat, but it is very full and more supportive than I ever figured down could be.

My husband and I sleep in a queen size bed, and I was concerned about how this pillow would fit in our bed.While it is rather large, it hasn't been a problem.I don't seem to take up any more room curled up with the snoozer than I do just side sleeping with my knees bent.He doesn't mind it, anyway.And, I love it!I figured when I bought this pillow that I'd continue using my tempurpedic pillow for my head, but the snoozer is so comfy that the tempurpedic has been kicked out of the bed.

To my surprise, I've found that I also really love using this pillow to prop myself up to read in bed.Curled into a "U" shape behind me, it provides great armrests as well as really nice support.As this will be my first child, I don't know about breastfeeding yet, but I imagine this pillow will be great for that, too.

I bought this pillow when I was about 4 1/2 months pregnant (before I probably really needed it), and now that I'm at 6 months, I am SO glad to have it.And, I really doubt that I'll stop using it once I deliver the baby.Pregnant or not, I really like the support between my knees and under my side to keep my from rolling over onto my belly.

Bottom line - just buy it!I really doubt you'll be sorry.

Review of Prince Lionheart Infant Dishwasher Basket

While this container holds nipples in place nicely and the basket is good for the standard infant goodies, the unit made by Munchkin I always use first.The lower portion of the basket is awkward to open, and the placement of caps above the nipples means leftover water always gets dumped on the nipples.Flipping the unit upside down does help both these issues, but then the nipples don't drain the right way.

Review of Kidco Swivel Cabinet & Drawer Lock Set - (4 locks in each set)

My 15 month old son started to explore his surrounding. We installed the locks to prevent him getting into all the kitchen cabinets. The locks did stop him...for a while. But these type of locks are too simple. My son figured it out in 3 months. Not that big a deal for us since he can understand and follow our orders and advices a lot better than he was 3 months ago. Still, if you want the locks to be effective longer than 3 months, you might want to go for something more complicated.

Review of My First ABC - Valance

I recieved this valance in the 'My First ABC' nursery set.It really adds a lot to the room and brings all aspects of the design together.

My favorite part is that the top and bottom of the valance have an area for the curtain rod.I thought it would look cuter, for my room, with the brown stripe on the bottom.So, I hung it that way.

Great addition and shouldn't be rated as a 'toy.'

I bought these almost a year ago.They really help make the room.Very cute!Only drawback is, they're a lot thinner than I thought they'd be. I wasn't expecting thick drapery.But they are not much thicker than gauze.But they really do look nice once they're hung up.I'd suggest a valance over the drapes.Really pulls the room together.

I own the mobile and the crib bedding. Some mobiles seem to not interest babies, but this one sure does. The gingham print seems to keep him looking and entertains so I have a few minutes to clean up, or lulls to sleep at 3a.m. All in all I love it.

Review of Brahms: The Masterworks (Box Set) [BOX SET]

Having collected the entire "The Masterworks" series (including the Bach and Mozart Complete Works) this set is the 'clinker' of the bunch. First off... 6 CD's of Lieder 'historic' (pre-historic) recordings. No Overtures, No Orchestral Seranades, No Haydn Variations?? The performances of the Symphonies and the Concertos are shakey and not very well recorded. Brilliant Classics, who has done such a wonderful job with the Hadyn Complete Symphonies (licensed from Nimbus), the Mozart and Bach Complete sets, has stumbled a bit with this release.

Once its installed, it took me as a grownup to a babies world. Very soothing and beautiful.
Though, its best to purchase this when your baby is really small, so he can get used to it while growing.

I bought this for my daughter when she was three or four months old (she's now 2 1/2).Even if our next child is a boy, we'll probably still use this bouncer because it's held up very well, and amazingly, we never had to replace the batteries until two years later (when we brought it down from the attice to loan it to a friend).I found that most of the bouncers at the store were masculine-looking with lots of blue.This bouncer was just so cute and of course my daughter loved the butterflies and song.Even now when we go to my friend's house, who is borrowing the bouncer from us, my 2 1/2 year-old daughter tries to climb back into it and sits in it (until I tell her to get out), somehow she remembers being in it when she was a baby!
