I was a little skeptical about how this was going to work, but I have spindles on one side of my staircase and stained wooden molding on the other side, so I didn't want to drill any holes.The other kits were wooden pieces that went around the spindles, and didn't look very good in my opinion.Since my spindles are black iron, I got the black Kidco gate which is pressure mounted.These are very sturdy and the entire system was very easy to install.It also looks good!!!
