I am concerned about its usefulness later. The seat does not attach to any part of the toilet - it just sits on top. I suppose if you have a 3 year old using it (with the step stool), you can explain that she needs to be careful in sitting down so as not to knock the seat off....but how will i explain this concept to my 1 year old when she's walking to the potty herself? I wish there were suction cups or something to secure it to the toilet.Once the baby is in the seat, its not a problem, because her weight holds it in place. But getting in and out seems like it could be kind of treacherous for a toddler.
Another note - we have both the ivory and the pink, and for some reason, my daughter seems more comfortable in the ivory one - like itsa better mold to her butt. Not sure why that is, but just thought i'd note that they are not each identical.
If you want to try "infant" potty training, this will save your back!!!Lots of the advice out there is to hold your baby over the toilet until she goes. This is crazy and will discourage parents from even trying this method. This eliminates the need for that, and has made me, and my baby, happy campers (and poopers)!
